    Produce Safety Alliance (PSA) Grower Training course is a US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved educational course that meets the training requirement (21CFR Part112.22(c)) in the US Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Standards for Growing, Harvesting, Packing, and Holding Produce for Human Consumption (also known as "Produce Safety Rule"). 

    The course provides trainees with a basic understanding of microorganisms and microbial risks relevant to produce safety and actions to plan to meet requirements of FSMA Produce Safety Rule.

  • Produce Safety Alliance Online Course

    The Online PSA Grower Training course is the same curriculum as the in-person (or remote delivery) training.  Participants earn the same certificate.  The enrollment cost is $450.  (If you register before December 31, 2022, you can take the course for $125.)

    This is a three-week course that can be completed at-your-own-pace. The online course is expected to take 15-30 hours total for successful completion.  Participants must read the text on their own, so this requires extensive reading. Each page in the course must be viewed by participants to meet expectations for the training. 

    A new group begins each month.  Courses regularly fill up, so register early if you are interested in a specific month.
